Call for Abstracts: 2018 Midyear Meeting

NSGIC’s 2018 Midyear Meeting will be held Sunday, February 25 to Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Sheraton Salt Lake City Hotel.

Abstract submissions are due Friday, December 22, 2017.

Who can present?

All NSGIC members, sponsors* and partners are encouraged to consider submitting an abstract for the conference

What kind of presentations are available?

There are three types of presentations available:

Smolder Presentation - A smolder presentation is 10 minutes long (we're really strict about this!) and should contain no more than 20 slides with very simple content. When doing a smolder, you should present only the key information and do so right out of the gate. Because the smolder presentation is quick, it allows us to have a lively, fast-paced agenda with a variety of speakers. Smolder presentations are idea for introducing new programs, providing program updates, or presenting a single, fairly narrow subject. Smolder presentations are the preferred format for the NSGIC meeting.

Panel Discussion - A panel discussion consists of two or more speakers who give a short introduction to a topic followed by a vigorous discussion.

Traditional Presentation - A traditional presentation is a 15 to 30 minute presentation on a single theme. Speakers are typically grouped together in a 90 or 120 minute slot on the agenda.

*Sponsor Presentations - For more information about our current sponsorship opportunities, and our soon-to-be launched new sponsorship model, please contact Michelle Jones, Manager, Membership & Meetings, michelle.jones@nsgic.org or 504-265-9720.
