2022 NSGIC Midyear Meeting and Innovation Summit
Monday, February 14, 2022 to Thursday, February 17, 2022
Category: Conferences

The NSGIC Board of Directors, Conference Steering Group, and staff are excited to welcome many of our members and partners to meet again in person! The 2022 Midyear Meeting & Innovation Summit will be held February 14-17 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI, and NSGIC will be leveraging technology to provide for virtual participation as well.

The NSGIC Midyear Meeting provides critical and timely networking opportunities with state and federal officials, industry leaders, and other geospatial organizations. It also offers the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share with colleagues and thought leaders in the geospatial community, as well as to take part in engaging workshops and sessions, such as the Innovation Summit.

The health, safety, and comfort of our meeting attendees are of utmost importance to us as we continue to plan for the hybrid Midyear Meeting. We will be following all guidance in place at the time of the meeting and working closely with venues to ensure full care is given. NSGIC is committed to protecting the health and safety of all attendees.

We understand that not all conference attendees will be able to join us in person. Those participating virtually can expect a rich experience with interactive plenary presentations, access to live chat with other attendees, and additional networking opportunities.

Whether you attend in-person or virtually, the NSGIC Midyear Meeting is the place to continue brewing up geospatial excellence and collaboration for state, local, tribal, and federal GIS policymakers and coordinators, private sector partners and solution-providers, and other leaders in the geospatial ecosystem.

The agenda will consist of:

  • Plenary Sessions - presentations by and for the NSGIC community exploring challenges, successes, and new approaches for state GIS
  • The Innovation Summit - held Wednesday, February 16, the summit hones in on new and exciting developments in geospatial technology or its applications to keep participants abreast of new trends and future directions (one-day registration for this event is available)
  • State Caucus - roundtable discussions with state and local government representatives to talk frankly about current pressing issues; two sessions this year
  • GIO Academy - leadership sessions and networking for state government GIOs and equivalents (separate registration is required - coming soon)
  • Speed Networking - the fun and fast-paced activity where sponsors, who have allocated points, will rotate to complete the circuit of visiting with all states
  • And much more!
