Call for Content: 2020 Virtual Annual Conference
For nearly 30 years, NSGIC has boosted national geospatial policy and provided a forum for best practices exchange and collaboration. We are seeking abstracts for presentations for our 2020 Virtual Annual Conference. Abstracts are due on Monday, July 20, 2020. Our audience includes state GIOs (and their equivalents), agency GIS coordinators, and other public sector GIS specialists; federal partners; and private sector collaborators.
Private sector organizations must contact Bridget Nolan to secure attendance, presentation, and other sponsor benefits.
Going Virtual - Successful Presentations
Going virtual with our Annual Conference will require speakers to tailor presentations to the virtual format. Both pre-recorded videos and live sessions will be offered. Successful presentations will be high-energy and engaging, incorporating video technology on our conference platform. Content should highlight state success stories, inspired collaborations, and thought-provoking ideas and solutions to the challenges faced by today’s state GIS leaders - including COVID-19 initiatives, remote citizen services, and equality efforts, to name a few.
The NSGIC Conference Committee will be providing additional guidance and working with speakers in the coming months to ensure presentations will be successful in the virtual format.
