This award is typically given to an individual who has served in one or more leadership positions over an extended period of time (e.g,, board member, officer, committee chair or active committee participant). The Lifetime Service Award recipients will receive complimentary membership in NSGIC and registration fees will be waived at the NSGIC annual conference and midyear meeting if the recipient is no longer employed in the geospatial industry.

The actions of each nominee must meet the following criteria:

  • An extended professional career of service in the geospatial industry
  • Dedicated and distinguished service to NSGIC
  • Notable activities that have advanced NSGIC's goal of efficient and effective government through the prudent adoption of geospatial technologies.
